About Harriett
Background
A Charleston native, Harriett Lee is an alumna of the College of Charleston with a degree in International Business and a Minor in Spanish. While at CofC, she was the vice-president of SIFE:Students in Free Enterprise . SIFE does outreach projects in the community teaching entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business ethics, market economics, & success skills. Harriett currently does sales full-time for Stasmayer, an IT and communications consulting firm. During her time at the College of Charleston, she studied in Chile for a semester and fell in love with the South American culture and way of life. During her travels in South America she bought a lot of different seeds and other unique items to use to make jewelry. Ultimately she would like to work for a company that has just expanded into or is already in the Central & South American markets. "There is just so much room for companies to grow there....and I want to be a part of that." After graduation Harriett and her family took a trip to Europe and traveled through Italy, Spain, France, & Croatia. Harriett found a lot of unique beads during her trip.

Behind The Jewelry
Harriett has many influences from the beach in her jewelry. She has been making jewelry as a hobby since before she was in high school. This Charleston native started her small business by selling to friends and co-workers and then it took off! Everyone wanted to wear some of Harriett's jewelry; a saying was even coined at the restaurant she worked at, her co-workers were always heard saying, "Do you have your Harriett's on?" And with that her small jewelry business took off.
